LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Authorities believe a vehicle going the wrong way struck a truck head on near a southeast Las Vegas intersection.

The wreck was reported about 9 a.m. Monday on Eastern Avenue south of Sunset Road.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, a Scion model vehicle was heading southbound but was drifting in and out of lanes.

The car drifted into northbound lanes when it struck a pick-up truck.

The drivers of both vehicles were transported to Sunrise Hospital. The 22-year-old driver of the Scion, James Pedraza, was listed in serious condition while the 46-year-old driver of the pick-up, Mary Branaugh, sustained minor injuries.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
