LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
The Clark County Coroner's office released the name of an 86-year-old man in a wheelchair who was hit and killed by a vehicle.
Edgar St. John sustained fatal injuries in the accident on Cheyenne Avenue near Jones Boulevard, police said.
St. John was in a motorized wheelchair crossing Cheyenne outside of a marked crosswalk when the accident happened Friday just before 7 p.m.
The driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene following the collision. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol were involved.
As of this incident, Las Vegas Metro police have investigated 68 traffic-related deaths this year.
