Man found slain east of Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police found a man slain east of the Las Vegas Strip after being called to an apartment complex on reports of a shooting.

Las Vegas Metro said officers responded to 911 calls in the area of E. Twain Avenue and Cambridge Street about 10:22 p.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found a man dead in the parking lot. The man had sustained head trauma.

Police described the suspect as between 27 and 31 years old, 5'8" and about 280 pounds. He is said to have a large Afro and beard. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shoes.

Police described the suspect's vehicle as a white 4-door car with Nevada plates and a broken window covered with blue plastic.
