Comics roast Cork Proctor for his 80th birthday (Arron Healy/FOX5)
LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Nevada comedy legend Cork Proctor was honored on Sunday with an 80th Birthday Comedy Roast at the South Point Showroom.
Proctor has been performing at comedy clubs in Las Vegas and other cities for 40 years. He also helped with the founding of the Mint 400 off-road race in 1967.
The comedy legend is rumored to be leaving Las Vegas to retire in Ecuador with his ex-wife, Carolyn Hamilton.
All proceeds from admission donations to Proctor's roast will go to scholarships for those who are challenged with severe intellectual and related disabilities at Opportunity Village.
According to Opportunity Village, many of their scholarship recipients have moved on to staffing the Nellis Air Force Base Post Office, supplying porter services for the C-Gates at McCarran Airport, preparing and serving meals for Nellis military personnel and more.
