Wheelchair-bound man hit and killed by car

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man was killed Friday evening after being hit by a car.

Police said the man was crossing Cheyenne Avenue near Jones Boulevard just before 7 p.m. in a motorized wheelchair when he was hit. The man was not crossing in a marked crosswalk.

The driver who hit the man stayed on scene and police said neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.

The accident remains under investigation.
