NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
A pedestrian was hospitalized late Thursday after being struck by a vehicle at a North Las Vegas intersection.
Police reported the accident on Ann Road near Decatur Road just after 10:40 p.m.
According to authorities, the male victim was in a crosswalk at the time, but early reports showed the car had a green light.
The female driver couldn't do much to avoid him, police said.
"[The driver] was paying attention at the time of the crash and really didn't have a lot of time because the darted out in front of her vehicle," Chrissie Coon with North Las Vegas police said.
The man was transported to University Medical Center in extremely critical condition.
Police did not disclose any injuries for the driver.
