She did it. Las Vegas runner and Bellagio dealer Karla Kent completed the Badwater Ultramarathon early Wednesday morning.
It took Kent, 49, 40 hours, 24 minutes and 35 seconds to run 135 miles through Death Valley.
Kent, who arrived back in Las Vegas Wednesday evening, told FOX5 she feels surprisingly good. She's expected back at the Bellagio roulette tables in the next few days.
Only 98 runners in the world competed in Badwater this year. Kent was one of thousands to apply.
Kent's training strategy was running long marathons. In April, she ran a 100-mile race. Two weeks ago, she did 50 miles around Lake Mead.
