LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Two people were arrested Wednesday in what Metro police called a "takeover-style" armed robbery of a Las Vegas pawn shop.

Police said several men entered the Super Pawn store on Nellis Boulevard near Stewart Avenue at around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday. One of the suspects fired a shot into the ceiling while other suspects ordered customers and employees to the floor.

Another suspect began smashing display cases with a hammer and removing merchandise. The items were placed in a duffel bag.

The suspects then fled on foot to a neighborhood near the business. Police located two suspects hiding inside a nearby apartment.

Police said additional arrests may be forthcoming. Those arrested have not been identified.
