LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
More than 1,000 children are being invited to a motivational pep rally sponsored by boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr., rapper 50 Cent and attorney Willie Gary.
"Succeeding Against the Odds: Dream Big Dreams" will take place during the Black Lawyers and Judges National Convention.
It starts at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Gene Woods Speedway Sports Complex.
The children will have a chance to win one of five scholarships from the Gary Foundation.
They will also enjoy refreshments and live music from a local DJ.
Mayweather will not be at the event as he is currently in jail for domestic violence.
"Even though, I cannot be in attendance, I want the kids to feel my presence and know that they can succeed against the odds," said Mayweather.
