HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
A Henderson couple was awakened by a fire that started in the bed they were laying on late Monday night.
Henderson fire reported the blaze at a trailer near Pawnee Lane and Lake Mead Parkway about 11 a.m.
A man discovered fire in the box spring of his bed, officials said. He and his wife were able to escape their home and call 911.
Firefighters arrived and were able to quickly put out the flames.
The couple and a Henderson police officer were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The fire appeared to have been electrical in nature, officials said. Damage was estimated at $1,500.
