LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney wasn't in Nevada Monday, but his campaign bus was, making a stop in Las Vegas.
"Essentially, it's a mobile campaign headquarters going from town to town," said Mason Harrison of Romney's Nevada Campaign. "For a lot of these towns, they haven't seen much of either candidate because they're geographically in a place that people don't get to as much."
It's also important for Republicans running for offices like in the Senate, the House or the state Legislature.
But nothing replaces the candidate himself in town to bring in campaign donations and volunteers to all candidates.
"When he (Romney) comes out here, he will energize our base," said Nevada Republican Congressman Joe Heck. "He's also doing well with the independent voters and every time he comes on out it generates some more enthusiasm and more energy. That will help everybody up and down the ticket."
"I think if you look at the resources, the time, effort and money that they're putting into this state, it's gonna help us all very, very much,"added Republican Congressional candidate Danny Tarkanian.
Democrats believe in the same philosophy of the presidential ticket creating trickle-down effect for the party, pushing issues that are uniform to party voters.
"President Obama is at the top of a very strong ticket with candidates like Shelley Berkley, Dina Titus, John Oceguera and Steven Horsford, and Democrats will off clear choices to the voters," said Zach Hudson of the Nevada State Democratic Party.
Romney will be in Reno later this month for the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention, as will President Obama.
As for the bus, it's headed to Pahrump on Tuesday.
