LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Authorities said a 65-year-old Las Vegas man involved in a car collision with a light pole died of natural causes.
The Clark County Coroner's office said 65-year-old David E. Cooper's death stemmed from an existing heart conditions as well as diabetes.
Cooper was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Elantra that collided with a traffic signal pole in the area of E. Flamingo Road and Perry Street about 9:45 p.m. Friday.
Las Vegas Metro police said Cooper's vehicle was turning left on Perry when he failed to negotiate the turn and struck the pole.
He was transported to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
