LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A 65-year-old Las Vegas man is dead after his 2007 Hyundai Elantra crashed into a light pole at Flamingo Road and Perry Street at around 9:45 p.m. Friday.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the man was traveling west on Flamingo, trying to turn onto Perry.
Evidence and witnesses at the scene said the man failed to negotiate the turn and hit a traffic signal pole on the corner of the intersection.
He was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he later died. His passenger, Dee Cooper, 74, from Las Vegas, was also taken to the hospital where she is listed in serious condition.
