LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Metro officers will join community volunteers to continue their efforts on the "Sierra Sunrise Community Beautification" project.
Officers and residents are starting the second part of the project this weekend.
The first part of the project was completed last Saturday.
Work on part two is set to begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at Sunrise Mountain High School near Carey Avenue and Los Feliz Street.
More than 800 volunteers are expected to attend the event.
The group will work to visually enhance the area and curtail violence and other criminal activity in the process.
A celebration barbeque will be held at Shadow Rock Park right after the event.
