LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

At least one person was hospitalized after a condominium building caught fire early Friday morning.

Las Vegas Fire reported the two-alarm blaze just before 3 a.m. at the Bradford Place Townhomes in the 3100 block of Chadford Place, near Pennwood Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.

Personnel from Las Vegas and Clark County fire departments were able to keep the blaze confined to a unit before it spread to others. They were able to control the fire within 25 minutes of arriving.

At least one condo unit was destroyed and a second unit sustained minor water damage.

A female resident told FOX5 her failure to extinguish a cigarette may have sparked the fire.

One person was transported to University Medical Center with a smoke inhalation injury.

Damage was estimated at $80,000. The American Red Cross is assisting two adults and a child left homeless in the incident.
