Air conditioning breaks down at Henderson DMV

Posted: Updated:
HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

The Department of Motor Vehicles said its Henderson office will remain open despite a partial breakdown of the air conditioning system.

DMV reported the failure Wednesday amid the ongoing excessive heat in southern Nevada.

Officials recommended customers to visit the office during morning hours or seek services at other branch locations.

Amid the malfunction, staffing will be reduced from 3 p.m. until close until the system is fixed, the DMV noted.

The DMV said it hopes to have the A/C system at the Henderson office fully operational by Monday.

"We appreciate the public's patience," said DMV Director Bruce Breslow. "I particularly appreciate the dedication of all our employees who have continued to work hard in this oppressive heat."
