Vacant home catches fire in east Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A garage of a vacant home in east Las Vegas was engulfed in flames Tuesday evening.

A total of 31 Clark County firefighters were needed to control the fire at a home in the 4400 block of Lindenhurst Lane, near Russell Road and Mountain Vista, about 6:30 p.m.

Clark County Fire Department said the three-car garage was heavily involved in fire. Flames were extending into the home.

Crews were able to put out the fire 10 minutes after arriving.

The house was unoccupied, but there were items belongings and debris in the garage.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was still being determined.

Damage was estimated at $75,000.
