A 2-year-old found in a backyard pool Tuesday nearly drowned, according to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue.
The little girl was found just after noon on Black Forest Drive, near Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard.
The toddler was staying at a relative's home overnight. When family members awoke around noon, they discovered the home's sliding glass door partially home. The child fell into an in-ground swimming pool.
A Metro officer arrived and performed CPR before paramedics arrived. It's not known how long the child was in the pool.
The toddler was taken to UMC where her condition is unknown.
