A native Las Vegas athlete is flying high with the best of the best. Scott Janise, 38, has been selected to compete at the World Parachuting Championships with the U.S. Parachute Team.
The competition will take place later this year in Dubai. Janise and his teammates will compete against the best skydivers in the world.
Four-way formation teams leap from an aircraft more than two miles from earth and race to form geometric formations while plunging 120 mph toward the ground.
Janise is currently a member of the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute team and works as a videographer for an all-female skydiving team.
When he's not leaping from airplanes, Janis is a police officer in Raeford, NC.
