LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Las Vegas Metro police have arrested two men in connection with the killing of a 24-year-old man and the shooting of a woman on the city's northeast side.
Terrence Renda McClodden, 29, is charged with murder, battery and discharging a firearm in or at a structure. His alleged accomplice, 28-year-old Darrell Fitzgerald, is also charged with murder.
Police suspect the two shot 24-year-old Exavian Jones and the woman at an apartment complex on Hopkins Drive near Carey Avenue.
According to detectives, Jones had fired a gun in the air, leading to a fight with the suspects. Police labeled Jones' actions "celebratory gunfire," but they did not elaborate.
McClodden pulled a gun of his own and shot Jones, police said.
Jones was pronounced dead at University Medical Center. The woman, who hasn't been identified, was not seriously hurt.
