Cookie Monster spoofs 'Call Me Maybe' - FOX5 Vegas - KVVU

A tweet spoofing one of the most played pop songs this year has spawned a viral video.

Last month, the official Twitter account of Sesame Street published a tweet intended to be from Cookie Monster:

@sesamestreet: Cookie Monster: Me just met you. Dis is crazy. But me love cookies! Gimme, maybe?

The tweet was a spoof of Carly Rae Jepsen's hit single "Call Me Maybe." The tweet has already garnered more than 9,000 retweets since hitting feeds on June 18.

On Tuesday, Sesame Street turned the tweet into a full-fledged spoof music video called "Share It Maybe."

The video, which can be seen on Sesame Street's YouTube channel, shows Cookie Monster chasing after his beloved snack item. After dealing with empty cookie bowls and a choreographed flash mob, the blue cookie muncher delights in his favorite food, "om nom nom noming" on chocolate chip, snickerdoodle and oatmeal varieties.
