Man struck by forklift sent to hospital

BELCHERTOWN, MA (WSHM) -

A construction accident has sent a man to the hospital.

Police told CBS 3 the man was working a forklift at a house under construction at 94 Rockrimmon Street in Belchertown when the incident happened.

While bringing supplies to the second floor, the forklift began to tip over. The man tried jumping to safety, but was struck by the heavy machinery.

He was rushed to Baystate Medical Center with serious injuries.
