LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A 24-year-old Las Vegas man was identified as the person who was shot and killed at an apartment complex last week.
The Clark County Coroner's office released the name of Exavian Jones, who died of a gunshot to the chest.
Jones was one of two people shot during an incident in the 6900 block of Hopkins Drive, near E. Carey Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard, in the late night hours of July 6.
Police said an altercation between the victims and a suspect led to the shooting.
The other shooting victim, a woman, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
Investigators were looking into any gang connections in the incident.
