LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A pet canine died and two people were forced out of their home after several apartments caught fire east of the Las Vegas Strip Friday.
Clark County Fire reported the blaze in the 2600 block of Van Patten Street, near Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road, just after 7:30 a.m.
The fire was on a two-story apartment building with eight units. Four of those units were damaged, CCFD said.
Two people were displaced in the incident and were being assisted by American Red Cross.
No initial word on what caused the fire. Damage was estimated at $30,000.
