LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man wounded in a double shooting at a northeast Las Vegas apartment complex died of his injuries hours after the incident, police said Friday.

Las Vegas Metro police said investigators were trying to identify a suspect in the shooting that also injured a woman.

The incident happened in the 6900 block of Hopkins Drive, near E. Carey Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard, just before 9:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police said an altercation between the two victims and the suspect led to the shooting. A male victim was transported to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

A woman sustained minor injuries in the shooting and was treated at the scene.

Police believe the shooting may have had to do with a neighborhood dispute. Authorities also believe the incident may be gang related.

The Clark County Coroner's Office is expected to release the victim's identity and cause of death.

If you have any information on this crime, you're urged to call Crime Stoppers at (702)-385-5555.
