A Las Vegas man believed to be the mustached suspect linked to a series of robberies refused to appear for his initial court appearance Thursday morning.
Las Vegas Justice Court reset 45-year-old Troy Mullner's preliminary hearing to Friday.
Metro police announced the Mullner's arrest on Monday after investigators initiated a citywide search for the so-called "Mustache Bandit."
According to investigators, the suspect committed a series of robberies at unnamed sandwich shops and electronics stores throughout the area.
In those robberies, witnesses said the suspect sported significant facial hair.
Robbery Section Lt. Ron Fox said officers from Southwest Command recognized Mullner as the man fitting the description of the "Mustache Bandit." Mullner was arrested after he was stopped and questioned about the robberies, Fox said.
Mullner was charged with multiple counts of robbery, robbery with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery, burglary and burglary with a deadly weapon in at least nine incidents.
Police also said the suspect in the robberies may have had a getaway driver, but that person has yet to be identified.
