Pahrump man arrested in child porn sting

PAHRUMP, NV (FOX5) -

Authorities believe a Pahrump man arrested this week had been exchanging child pornography with another person in Arizona.

Charles Benfante, 69, was arrested on charges of possession of child porn and the use of the internet to control child porn, the Nye County Sheriff's office said.

Deputies were coordinating with police in Tucson to investigate the alleged exchanges.

Benfante was identified as one of the people exchanging the porn after a Tucson resident was busted.

Authorities seized Benfante's computer for analysis.

He was booked on $10,000 bail in to the Nye County Sheriff's Detention Center.
