LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
An unattended stove is likely the cause of a condominium fire on the Las Vegas Strip Wednesday that did approximately $140,000 in damage.
Clark County firefighters were called to the Sky Las Vegas high-rise at 4:40 p.m. The condo was all the way on the 33rd floor.
The presence of responding emergency vehicles forced the closure of the southbound lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard for about an hour. The fire forced the evacuation of the 33rd and 32nd floors.
Investigators said sprinklers in the unit helped contain the fire to the kitchen.
No injuries were reported but the condo will be uninhabitable until repairs are made.
