
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and Nellis Air Force Base Wednesday welcomed nine new U.S. citizens in a special 4th of July ceremony.
The event was part of the 2012 Freedom Fest at Nellis Air Force Base's Freedom Park
Of the nine due to take the oath, four are active-duty Nellis airmen; four are U.S. Army members; and one is a spouse of a military member.
The military members originate from China, Cuba, India, Mexico, the Philippines and the United Kingdom.
This ceremony is part of a worldwide swearing-in of more than 4,000 new citizens.
The Naturalization Ceremony was followed by a fireworks presentation.
