Bureau of Land Management said firefighters are on track to fully contain this weekend the Egan wildfire burning in the eastern part of rural Nevada.
The Egan Fire sparked on June 30 in the South Egan Wilderness southeast of Lund, Nev., BLM noted.
As of Friday, the fire burned at least 7,238 acres and was 50 percent contained.
A total of 257 crew members have been working on containing the fire, which is burning in sagebrush and grass on steep and rugged terrain.
BLM estimated full containment on July 8.
