One of the dolphins at The Mirage's Dolphin Habitat is celebrating a milestone.
July 3 marks K2's first birthday and visitors are welcome to sign a birthday card when they stop by the habitat.
He was born to Duchess, the matriarch of the bottlenose dolphin family, one year ago.
Dolphin calves remain very delicate in their early years and the animal care staff will continue to monitor their development as they bond with their mothers, nursing and testing their independence.
The Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
