LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A woman arrested last week for starting a fire at a Las Vegas doctor's office in 2010 told staff there she did it because she waited too long to see the physician.
Sandi Lee McGee, 66, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in connection to a fire that damaged the office of Dr. Robert Vance in March 2010.
In an arrest affidavit released by the Clark County District Attorney's office, McGee, who also went by Sandra Rozzi, was the only person inside an examination room where the fire sparked in the 8400 block of W. Lake Mead Boulevard on March 22, 2010.
According to a fire investigator with Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, McGee apparently started to blaze by lighting a paper towel or tissue on fire, which caused minor damage to a carpeted floor.
At least 12 people were inside the clinic at the time of the fire, the investigator said.
McGee was charged with fourth-degree felony arson and booked into CCDC late last week.
