HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
NV Energy crews restored power to a majority of about 5,700 customers Monday morning.
A spokesperson said an outage happened about 8:15 a.m. near Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway.
NV Energy said the outage stemmed from an equipment failure. The spokesperson did not say if heat was the cause of the failure, but did say equipment, at times, fails in high temperatures.
All but 20 customers had power restored, as of 9 a.m.
