LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A 73-year-old Las Vegas man was identified Monday as the person struck and killed by a vehicle on a west side roadway over the weekend.
Ricardo Pablo Somera died of multiple blunt force injuries as a result of the incident on June 29, Clark County Coroner's office said.
According to Las Vegas Metro police, Somera was struck while crossing Tropicana Avenue, east of Rogers Street, just after 11 p.m.
He had been crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a sport-utility vehicle on eastbound Tropicana.
Somera was transported to University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
Metro said Somera's death represented the 62nd traffic-related fatality in its jurisdiction this year.
