LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Police have identified the 44-year-old pedestrian struck and killed by an SUV in Las Vegas Friday.
Witness statements and evidence at the scene suggest that Todd Allen Berg was crossing Tropicana Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk.
A 2012 Jeep Compass, driven by Jennifer Nases, was traveling eastbound on Tropicana Avenue in the right travel lane when she struck Berg.
Berg was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with critical injuries and was later pronounced dead by medical personnel.
This is the 62nd traffic related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction for 2012.
The collision remains under investigation by LVMPD.
