LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Firefighters Friday morning battled an apartment fire near Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway, across from the campus of UNLV.
The fire was first reported at 9:10 a.m. According to Clark County Fire, firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the two-story apartment building at 4223 Grove Circle upon arrival. They knocked the fire down in about 20 minutes.
No injuries were reported but two apartment units were damaged, displacing four adults and four children. Those displaced are being assisted by the Red Cross.
Two of the adults and the four children were home at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The damage is estimated at $50,000.
