HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -
Henderson firefighters put out flames inside an apartment unit early Thursday morning.
Crews arrived at the Galleria Palms Apartments on Whitney Ranch Drive near Sunset Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. where they found a small fire in an apartment kitchen.
No one was home at the time.
Neighbors discovered smoke coming from the apartment and called 911. People living in nearby apartments were evacuated as a precaution. There were no injuries reported.
One person was displaced and is being helped by friends. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and damages were estimated at $8,000.
