Metro police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for the violent, armed sexual assault of a teen.
Shawn "Loco" Brock, 26, is charged with sexual assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and robbery.
Police said that on June 18, a 19-year-old victim was followed leaving a convenience store on Nellis Boulevard to a nearby apartment complex where she was approached from behind. The man forced her behind a dumpster at gunpoint and assaulted her. The victim's iPhone was stolen following the assault.
Brock was arrested on June 25 on an unrelated charge. After police connected him to the assault, he was rebooked on assault, kidnapping and robbery charges.
