LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Four adults and one child are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross after their Desert Shores condominium was set on fire Saturday evening.
Las Vegas firefighters responded to an upstairs unit at the Desert Shores Villas just before 5:30 p.m. Flames were seen exiting the front door and balcony on arrival, but firefighters were able to put it out in less than a minute.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue said a child was playing with a lighter on a sofa, which caused the fire. The child was visiting relatives.
Damage is estimated at $25,000. There were no injuries reported.
