An argument at a northwest Las Vegas home ended with a woman accused of shooting her boyfriend.
Las Vegas Metro police reported the incident at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday near Cheyenne Avenue and Michael Way.
According to officers, the two had been fighting, escalating to the point of the woman opening fire on the man. When officers arrived, they found the 35-year-old man shot in the abdomen.
"The male and female were involved in a dating relationship for about 5 months," Metro Lt. David Gordon noted.
The man sustained non-life threatening injuries. The girlfriend, identified as Jesmin Sandoval, 24, was arrested and charged with one count of attempted murder with a deadly weapon.
Metro's Domestic Violence division was assigned to investigate.
