A UNLV track star is headed to the Olympics in London.
Amanda Bingson, a Silverado High School graduate, will join Team USA's track team. She took second place at the Olympic Trials Thursday in Portland, OR in the hammer throw.
Bingson's event begins August 11. Video featuring Bingson at the Olympic Trials comes courtesy of the Portland Oregonian.
