LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
It's fairly well known that besides being an eyesore, graffiti is the most costly property crime in southern Nevada.
To combat the problem, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is teaming with the Clark County School District, Crime Stoppers of Nevada and other agencies to curb the problem.
The Graffiti-Free Las Vegas initiative will kick off with an event at Roy Martin Middle School, 200 N. 28th St., on Tuesday, June 26 from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
The goal is to combine resources to fight graffiti vandalism and the related crime it attracts. Valley residents are encouraged to attend the initiative kickoff for information on graffiti abatement.
