LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A single $20 bill proved to be the right price to cash in on a Las Vegas slot machine jackpot Wednesday night.

The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino said Alaska resident Linda Fleury hit the progressive jackpot on a Wheel of Fortune machine.

Her jackpot: $1,064,121.24.

Upon winning, the vacationer from Eagle River, Alaska said, "I thought I was seeing things. I just sat there stunned."

The casino said Fleury intends to take her son on a vacation to New Zealand.

In Nevada, progressive jackpots, especially for slots, are often linked among a number of casinos. The top winning amount progresses as players use the machines until a winning combination is hit. The astronomical amounts on often minimal costs are seen as the draw of these machines.
