NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
At least 70 citations – ranging from failure to yield to red light running - were issued in a North Las Vegas traffic enforcement event.
North Las Vegas police conducted a city-wide "Joining Forces" safety event on Thursday, June 14.
According to NLVPD, the following citations were issued:
- 8 failure to yield driver/pedestrian;
- 22 red light violations;
- 35 cell phone violations;
- 5 seat belt/ child safety seat violations;
- 126 other violations.
Officers gave a total of 43 warnings in the event.
The event was part of a Nevada-wide campaign made possible by a traffic safety grant from the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety.
