The event is being held at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Visitor Center.

It will highlight recreation opportunities on public land in Southern Nevada, including full-time commercial outfitters and guides at Red Rock Canyon.

Off-road, hiking, biking, climbing and horseback tour companies will participate in the open house, with several giving special tours.

Some will also offer discounts for future expeditions.

Featured companies include Bobcat Tours, Pink Jeep Tours, Escape Adventure biking and hiking tours, Red Rock Hiking Tours, McGhie's Bike Outpost, Cowboy Trail Rides horseback riding, and Red Rock Riding Stables at Bonnie Spring.

BLM, Red Rock Canyon Interpretive Association and Friends of Red Rock Canyon will have information and programs to help visitors plan their summer adventures on public lands.

This open house is part of a series, which takes place the third Thursday of each month and gives the public a chance to meet BLM staff and get information about projects and planning.

The Bureau of Land Management red Rock/Sloan Field Office open house will take place June 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
