City of Henderson announces July 4 closures

HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

City Hall and Municipal Court were some of the facilities the City of Henderson announced will be closed on Independence Day.

The city announced Tuesday that several recreation centers, including Downtown Rec, Downtown Senior, Silver Springs Rec, Valley View Rec and Whitney Ranch Rec, will also be closed on Wednesday, July 4.

Holiday hours for several recreation and pool facilities were also announced:

Open 5 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Black Mountain Recreation Center;
  • Henderson Multigenerational Recreation Center;
  • Henderson Multigenerational Competition Pool;
  • Henderson Multigenerational Indoor Pool;
  • Heritage Park Aquatic Complex;
  • Heritage Park Senior Facility;
  • Whitney Ranch Indoor Pool.

Open 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Black Mountain Aquatic Complex;
  • BMI Outdoor Swimming Pool;
  • Henderson Multigenerational Activity Pool;
  • Silver Springs Outdoor Swimming Pool;
  • Wells Outdoor Swimming Pool;
  • Whitney Ranch Activity Pool.

Open 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

  • Sports office (298 Arroyo Grande Boulevard).

Open 6 a.m. - noon

  • Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve.

All emergency services will operate at normal schedules.
