Suspect arrested for sexual assault at southwest park

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Metro police have made an arrest in connection with a reported sexual assault just after 8:30 a.m. Monday at a park near Buffalo Drive and Flamingo Road.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl, told police she met the suspect on a CAT bus and he followed her to the park and assaulted her.

Clark County School District Police officers were near the scene and located the suspect in the area of Flaming and Tenaya Way. The report was investigated by Metro Sexual Assault detectives.

Police arrested Nashar Jackson, 24, of Las Vegas, and charged him with one count of sexual assault.
