Nye County Sheriff's deputies Friday arrested a Pahrump substitute teacher/administrative aide for having sex with a 16-year-old student.
The sub teacher, 31-year-old Amanda McGough of Pahrump, is employed at Pahrump Valley High School and Rosemary Clark Middle School.
She admitted to police to having had a sexual relationship with the male student since at least the beginning of April of this year. While investigators don't believe the two ever had sex on campus, McGough admitted to having sex with the minor in a vehicle parked in public areas on numerous occasions.
McGough also exchanged lewd, sexually explicit photos of herself with the student via email.
While the age of consent in Nevada is 16, the law prohibits sexual relations between certain school staff members and students under the age of 18.
