Police: Man with knife barricades self from officers

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police evacuated several units of the Siegel Suites complex Friday after a person with a knife barricaded himself from officers.

Las Vegas Metro police tried making contact with the man about 9:15 a.m. at the complex located in the 700 block of Tropicana Avenue.

The suspect was yelling at the officers through a window. Police said they observed suspect had a knife.

Police did not disclose why the man was wanted.

Residents in adjacent units were evacuated.
