LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Of 15 destinations in the United States, Las Vegas was ranked as the most affordable to travel, according to website TripAdvisor.
The travel site released its TripIndex comparing the cost of accommodations and an evening out on the town.
In terms of a night's accommodation at a four-star hotel, dinner for two, cocktails for two and taxi fare, Las Vegas came in at a total of $263.
In comparison, the 15th ranked city on the list, New York City, had a total cost for a night out at $456.50.
In an exact breakdown, it appeared the determining factor was in hotel room rates. Las Vegas averaged a cost of $124.54 for a one-night stay. In New York City, rooms averaged $341.63.
